This operating mode is the basic measurement mode that can simultaneously display a transmittance, absorbance or concentration value at a single wavelength. The concentration value is calculated by multiplying the measured absorbance by a factor plus a user entered offset. The wavelength is easily adjusted - either by nudging with the arrow keys or by entering a direct wavelength using the numeric keypad.
100% Transmittance (zero absorbance) and dark level are calibrated by a
single user operation when measuring transmittance or absorbance. Concentration
can be calibrated to a user defined value by calculating the factor from a
measured absorbance (offset automatically set to zero), or by direct user entry
of the factor and offset.
The in-built printer (if fitted) can be used to create a hard-copy of data
for later use.
