An extremely strong, medical-grade adhesive provides a uniform, complete seal which can withstand PCR thermal cycling.

Recommended for temperatures from -70°C to 110°C, each Seal measures 3.25 inches by 5.625 inches and offers sufficient sealing area for all PCR plates. A 1.5 mil non-permeable soft alumumim foil film with pressure-sensitive, medical-grade adhesive, the Seals eliminate the need for heat-sealing devices or mats during thermal cycling. The proprietary adhesive can withstand harsh chemicals, solvents and reagents.

Compared to other aluminum foils, our Seal has less tendency to roll back on itself when removing the backing paper and conforms nicely to the plate during application. The Sealing films are pierceable with single or multichannel pipettors and robotic metal probes for direct sample recovery without risk of aerosols and cross-contamination. Unlike other adhesive films, very little adhesive build-up occurs on pipetting devices during sample recovery.
